That's pretty cheap. Would take a lot of cash to get it going though.

As destroyed as it is, a lot of the body pieces are there. And let's be honest no one's going to save that engine anyhow. Despite "a certain someone's" opinion it will probably end up with a Small Block Chevy in it.

Cab looks ok...

With an engine, trans and a drive shaft that fits them to the axle it should be yard driving. If you had a modern truck frame and drive train you'd just need to fix this body to it.

I wouldn't want to restore it but if you're going to chop and channel it.

It really should have a Hemi.

I don't disagree with that at all. Just what I predict/expect to happen.

There real question is whether or not it makes you sad
![]() 09/24/2013 at 12:43 |

Hmm.
I think it does. It's almost lazy. Hemi would definitely be cooler.

We can all agree that it is far better for this truck to be given an sbc and driven then to sit as a pile of parts.

This we can definitely agree on yes.
I wouldn't rod it personally. I'd lift it to make an phoney Powerwagon.
Put then again the Powerwagon is my favorite vehicle every built by dodge.

I wonder how it'd fit on a modern ram frame?

I have a feeling this would be an awfully small body for a modern pickup frame, even a single cab like an Ram Express. Though it would be really cool to do it that way. Ram Express is single cab with a Hemi. perfect for this body just can't say it's perfect dimensions.

Well, an s-10 is a pretty good fit for 50's chevys. Perhaps a Dakota?
